Following a recent BRCGS (Brand Recognition through Global Standard Food Safety) audit, AusGrape is proud to announce its Buronga Hill Winery has received an AA+ rating for its commitment to food safety.
The BRCGS is a globally recognised certification program that ensures the highest level of food safety throughout Australian Vintage and AusGrape operations. The AA+ rating, the highest rating achievable for an unannounced visit, demonstrates AusGrape’s commitment to the BRCGS standard and provides confidence to customers that AusGrape’s products are safe, legal, and of the highest quality.
Quality Assurance Manager Nathan Bakewell said the team welcome regular and unannounced BRCGS audits to ensure products, packaging, people, and processes comply with global food and beverage manufacturing standards set by one of the world’s most respected certification schemes.
“We take great pride in ensuring that our food safety and compliance is of the highest standard. It’s a rigorous certification process and to achieve a grade of AA+ is testament to the tight ship our team run to ensure procedures and processes are always operating at the standard needed for certification,” says Bakewell.
AusGrape also recently became a member of globally recognised not-for-profit ethical supply chain management platform SEDEX (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange) to demonstrate its commitment to ethical and responsible practices. Maintaining data and establishing processes to conduct risk assessments, data analysis, reporting and e-Learning ensures AUSGRAPE observes the highest international standards for socially compliant organisations.
Commenting on the SEDEX certification, People and Culture Partner Phil Gourlay said AusGrape is committed to improving supply chain transparency.
“SEDEX guidance will enable us to further drive improvements in responsible business practices within global supply chains. Our membership with SEDEX means AUSGRAPE customers can be confident that they’re partnering with a company that has the highest standard of quality not just for its products and services but also for its business practices with complete supply chain visibility,” says Gourlay.
